Former Hollywood stuntman and dedicated fish watcher Seymour Mace is bringing his magical multi-hued mythos mantle to Hastings. It's a jacket; adorned with a motley selection of words which refer to different bits: some bits are hits, some bits are shits. You shout 'em out, I'll spout 'em out! You verbally indicate, I'll absurdly elucidate! You say the words, I'll lay the turds! Easy fucking peasy!

Frantic Assembly is one of the UK’s most celebrated companies known for its highly physical and collaborative storytelling and we are thrilled to welcome them to Makers’ House.
Over 3 days you will explore the Frantic Method and develop your physical confidence and awareness, enabling you to be bold and playful in the way that you create your own work.
This course is suitable for those that have little to no experience in the Frantic Method, or wider movement disciplines. For those that do have some experience in movement or physical theatre, this course will still be a worthwhile learning opportunity – consolidating knowledge and building on any prior experience.
The course is highly physical in nature, so all we ask is for you to come ready to lift yourself and others up, physically and mentally. And prepare to get a tad sweaty . . .
The workshop will take place at Makers’ House Hastings on Friday 29th - Sunday 31st January, 10am - 5pm.

From Charles Dickens to Susan Hill to M.R. James, many writers have tried to capture the darker side of this, ‘the most wonderful time of year…’ Tales of phantoms and lost souls have chilled the festive fireside for many generations.
Bafta winning writer, Owen Thomas, has been obsessed with ghost stories from the first time he picked up Usborne’s ‘The World of the Unknown: Ghosts’ at Primary School. Now, as a Professional writer, they continue to haunt my reading, my writing, and my imagination.
Join Owen as you explore the world of the Christmas Ghost Story, it’s themes and styles, and identify common elements within to help you in the creation of our own festive ghost story.
