Gwendoline Riley is widely celebrated as one of the UK’s best living authors. Her new book The Palm House has proved, yet again, that she is a singular voice within her generation, and we are thrilled to welcome her back.
This two day workshop is designed to balance supported group work with one-to-one time with Riley and offers a rare opportunity to develop your writing alongside one of our finest contemporary authors.
The experience concludes with a reading and celebration of the work developed during the course, shared over supper.
The workshop takes place at Makers’ House Hastings from Saturday 3rd – Sunday 4th October, 10am-5pm.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
We now offer a Pay What You Choose pricing model. This acts as a form of honesty box, allowing you to choose the fee that feels right for your circumstances when you book.
We want our courses to be as accessible as possible, but at the same time, we are committed to paying our artists fairly. If you're able to choose a higher price point, please do — your support will make a world of difference.
If you need help finding reasonably priced accommodation, or you would like to attend the course but the cost is prohibitive, then please email us here so we can discuss local accommodation offers or if our bursary scheme might be able to help.
