Modern clowning is having its moment. The Clown School of the late Philippe Gaulier seems to have formed a generation of artists who are leading the way in the live entertainments - from Sacha Baron Cohen to our very own Elf Lyons.
Join Luka Wellman, a member of the last cohort of students personally taught by Gaulier, and get a taste of what the school and the art form are all about.
This one day introduction to clown will use a variety of exercises and games to help you discover your own clown persona, learn to find your sense of play and build complicité with our fellow clowns. Allow yourself to embrace the ridiculous!
Participants of any experience level welcome - whether new to clowning, acting or both!
The class will run at Makers’ House Hastings Sunday 14th June, 10am - 5pm
