Chinese Brush Calligraphy with Yan Mak - June 29th & July 4th

from £50.00

Chinese Brush Calligraphy is an ancient, meditative practice that has fascinated artists and art lovers alike for centuries. It’s vibrancy of stroke and depth of meaning make this a fascinating artistic territory to explore.

Over the course of two morning sessions, Yan Mak will gently guide you as you learn the calligraphic strokes that build each Chinese character, and then put brush to paper to create your very own calligraphic images.

You’ll also be guided to choose your own Chinese name and discover it’s corresponding symbol, so you can sign your own work.

The workshop is part of our Pay What You Choose scheme, where participants can choose the entry cost that best suits their circumstances.

The workshop will take place at Makers’ House Hastings on Saturday 29th June & Saturday 4th July, 10am - 1pm. All materials will be provided.
