Character in Comedy with Alexis Dubus - 5th-7th May

£200.00

An exclusive workshop in character-based comedy, led by Alexis Dubus, creator of the comedy marvel Marcel Lucont.

With over 20 years’ experience on the international comedy and cabaret scene, Alexis brings his skills and knowledge to Makers’ House Hastings to guide you through the creation of a rounded, memorable and, above all, funny character for the stage.

Participants of any skill level are welcome to this workshop — whether you’re new to comedy or already performing — and you are encouraged to come with an initial concept you’d like to develop.

The workshop will begin with Alexis’ Marcel Lucont performance at Crown House on the evening of May 5th. Participants will be welcomed with a complimentary ticket and will get to see Alexis in action. You’ll then meet the following morning at Makers’ House, where Alexis will guide you in developing your own comedic creation.

The two days will culminate in participants sharing their work with a live audience.

The performance will be at Crown House, St Leanards on Tuesday May 5th at 7.30pm. The workshop will then take place at Makers’ House Hastings on May 6th & 7th, 10am-5pm, with the sharing occurring on the final evening. The course costs £200.
